WALKER SEALS

It is split in construction. Commonly used when dismantling is time consuming. The 'Walker' Type Oil Seal is extremely useful in this type of application because the outer edge is made of canvas reinforced rubber which can be split. The general application of this type of seal is in retaining lubricants in roll necks of millrolls, bearing etc.

The sealing lip is made of 'nitrile' synthetic rubber and is spring loaded for 'following' the rotating shaft under

various bearing conditions. The lip flexibility is maintained by accurate design without resorting to high degree of spring tension and thus reducing wear on both seal lip and the shaft.

Walker seals for rotary applications are extensively proven for long term bearing protection on plant as diverse as rolling mills, gearboxes, marine propulsion systems, process mixers and tunnel boring machines.

ADVANTAGES:

- Minimal heat generation and shaft wear.
- Flexible lip to accommodate shaft eccentricity.
- Highly cost effective
- Available in unlimited sizes
- Easy to install and simple to remove
