BALL SEAL

O-ring activated asymmetrical piston seal. Interference fit on inside diameter maintains stable fit in the housing. Design provides ultimate sealing effect. Especially suitable for short stroke applications (e.g. spindle- seals, coupling actuators). Ball seals are specially designed U section rings to take high pressures up to 400kg/cm2. The 'O'ring embedded in the U-seal groove, energizes the lips

























and thus enhancing the pressure rating. These are used as either piston or rod seals. The U-seals are made of nitrile rubber of 90° Shore 'A' hardness and energizer 'O' rings of 65-70° shore 'A' nitrile rubber.
