External Seals

Generally oil seals are held firmly in the stationary member and the inner lip maintains a line of contact with the rotary shaft, to give the sealing effect. When the seal is to be fitted on to the rotary shaft and the sealing lip has to maintain the contact with the stationary member, the external lip seal is recommended.
